Dianoetic is a research and data consultancy run by Pooya Karambakhsh. It is new and part-time. I take on short, scoped projects in macroeconomic and policy research, and in data systems for nonprofits and public institutions.

My experience is in resource-constrained environments, where a solution has to be practical before it is elegant.

What I Do

• Data Systems and Integration
  Data systems design and CRM implementation, scoped to how your team actually works.

• Research and Evaluation
  Macroeconomic and policy research, program evaluation and bibliometric analysis, delivered to a deadline.

• Capacity Building and Documentation
  Training, documentation and handover, so your team can run what I build.

How I Work

I start by understanding the goal, the constraints and the systems already in place. The solution is then designed to be easy to maintain, with no unnecessary complexity and no vendor lock-in.

My approach is:

• Modular: build what’s needed, when it’s needed.
• Transparent: so your team can understand, adapt and own the solution.
• Strategic: every decision is tied back to the organisation’s goal.

Background

I bring 12 years of research experience and, since 2018, nonprofit data work, mostly as an employee, with:

• Nonprofits and advocacy organisations
• Policy institutes and research centres
• A central bank and government-funded programs
• Universities

That background gives me a working understanding of the pressures small organisations face. Dianoetic is new and part-time, so availability is limited.
